Measurement basis
The rule a BOQ line is measured by: square metres, running metres or numbers, and what is deducted. Floors, ceilings, paint and woodwork follow IS 1200; modular kitchens and wardrobes have no standard, so the line must state its basis.
The same wardrobe can be 60 square feet or 8 running feet, so a line without its basis can't be compared between quotes. The rules, trade by trade, are in how interior work is measured.
