Form XII: Certificate for use of a boiler

What is Form XII?
Form XII of the Indian Boiler Regulations, 2026 is the certificate for use of a boiler, prescribed under regulation 310. Under the Indian Boiler Regulations, 1950 it was Form VI (certificate for use of a boiler).
Who issues and signs Form XII?
Granted under regulation 310 once the boiler is registered.
What does Form XII record?
- Registry number, type of boiler and boiler rating
- Place and year of manufacture
- The design pressure at which the boiler may be worked
- The load on the safety valves, or the washers or ferrules that guard against overloading
- The date and pressure of the last hydraulic test
When is Form XII filed, and with what?
Granted under regulation 310; regulation 305 sets the inspection fee for renewing it.
What changed for Form XII from IBR 1950?
Under IBR 1950 this was Form VI.
