Multi-company finance and role-scoped access

Sister concerns, one set of books, and staff see only their part

We build finance systems for sister concerns and group companies: one shared client list and ledger, with each invoice carrying the right company's letterhead and GSTIN. Who can see what is enforced where the data is fetched, not hidden in the screen — staff see only their own cash entries, and bank data is refused to them outright.

Who it's for: Families and partners running two or more related businesses out of one office, who need one view of the money without every employee seeing all of it.

How it works

  1. 01 Both companies share one client list and one ledger.
  2. 02 Each invoice is issued under the company chosen for it, with that company's letterhead, logo and GSTIN.
  3. 03 Staff see only their own cash entries; owners and managers see everything.
  4. 04 Bank data is refused to staff by the system itself, not just hidden on the screen.

The numbers

Staff view of the cash ledger
Own entries only, enforced in the API query
Staff access to bank data
None — every bank route rejects staff
Companies per invoice
Chosen per invoice: letterhead, logo, GSTIN

What to require from any vendor for this: 2 lines on the ERP requirements checklist, each with the test to ask for in a demo.

Questions buyers ask

Why one book instead of two systems?
When the same owners run both companies from one office with the same clients, one book gives one view of the money, and each invoice still carries the right company's details.
Can staff see the bank balance?
No. Every bank screen and request rejects staff, so the data can't be reached even by calling the system directly.
Does each company keep its own GST details?
Yes. Each invoice carries the letterhead, logo and GSTIN of the company it was issued under.
