How it is measured
Usually by running length along the wall at counter height; corners counted once. State whether the plinth and back panels are included. No Indian Standard fixes this for modular work, so the line itself must say it.

IS 303, Plywood for general purposes.
The line must name
  • Board and its grade: for example IS 303 BWP plywood, IS 710 marine plywood, HDHMR
  • Thickness: in mm, for example 18 mm carcass
  • Finish: laminate and its thickness, veneer, PU, acrylic, lacquer
  • Edge band: for example 2 mm PVC edge band
  • Hardware make: hinges, channels and fittings by make, or 'or equal'
